Marie Denham Memorial Scholarship

Marie Denham (1921-2002) worked with the children of Abilene for 29 years as a class-room teacher, counselor and administrator. She was a counselor at Abilene High School from 1963 to 1977 and served as the Coordinator of Guidance and Counseling for AISD from 1977 to 1986. Her ability to listen to students and give guidance in a gentle encouraging way will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to become acquainted with her. Her great passion was helping students realize their God-given potential through a college education that prepared them for a career and for life.
